Technocrat before today. After a quick look it looks kind of neat – like Slashdot for policy geeks and net-issues people. Like me. But I wonder who’s behind it, if there’s a particular agenda… Must go check.
John Perry Barlow
writes about Napster and copyright on a site called Technocrat. Very often I run screaming from the room in frustration over Barlow’s opinions on things, although I’m sure he’s a pleasant fellow. This isn’t one of those times – I largely agree with his analysis.

the other day: Stefanie Syman on the semiotics of colour in the urban landscape, or, since when do they use day-glo signs? The irony is that I saw my first fluorescent yellow sign just this past Monday, on University between Sherbrooke and Milton.
It’s starting to dawn on me
that I’m moving in about 10 days. I haven’t arranged a truck to help with my washer and dryer and bed and stuff, I haven’t really cleaned up and thrown out all the crap I’ve accumulated in the past 4 years here yet, and I haven’t done the change of address for any of my bills or my phone or anything. Whoops.
