Anyone want to do a project for Ars Electronica this year? I don’t know what the theme is, but it’s got to be better than Next Sex, last year’s theme. There’s a cash prize for the winner.
When I was in grad school
I read a lot of Jean Baudrillard, and he remains one of the few theorists I still read from time to time – my tolerance for academic work has gone way down. Feed has published a review of The Vital Illusion, the latest of his works translated into English. I read a bit of it in French last year, but it’ll be fun to read it in English as well – there are some pretty good translations of Baudrillard out there.
Aaron rolled his own
content management system for this is aaronland that includes this neat “category” thing. It’s a cool way to look back over old material – the categories are themselves meaningful content, in addition to the posts they represent. It’s not new, but I’ve been browsing it during the past couple of days and it’s very cool.
Cam Barrett went
on a rampage yesterday (Jan. 3), posting links to dozens of interesting sites, mostly about project management and web applications. Lots of reading to do now.
