that I don’t read Disinformation enough – I missed this sad story about a recent internecine Dead Kennedys event – the rest of the band v jello biafra & Alternative Tentacles. Evidently Jello refused to allow Levis to use Holiday in Cambodia for a jeans ad, so East Bay Ray, Klaus Fluoride and Peligro sued his ass, alleging that he wasn’t promoting their back catalogue enough as head of ATR.

The Zeldman mentions that Netscape 6.01 has been released, but also that it is incompatible with ATM on the Mac. From the release notes: “There is a known conflict with Adobe Type Manager, which causes windows to appear blank. Workaround: Uninstall ATM before you start Netscape 6.”

Uh, yeah. Hmmm. By my compass, releasing software that is incompatible with ATM is like releasing nothing at all. I don’t know of anyone who runs their Mac without ATM installed. Thanks guys, see you when you get that sorted out.

: You can put an idea for a website on the table and I can turn that into a half-million dollar proposal including detailed product descriptions, market analysis, competitive analysis, flowcharts, timelines, personnel requirements, etc. in a couple of days or a week. You can give me a vague notion of a new feature you want in an existing site and I can analyze it, figure out what it should be and how it should fit, in great detail, no problem. Offline – no problem – I once edited and largely rewrote an 800 page postal procedures manual. But I can’t deal with basic bureaucracy.

I’m going to be here, here, and at a couple other seemingly random government offices today.
