Just came across a Gov of Can site inviting comment on a new Canadian Copyright Reform Process they’ve engaged. I wonder if it will be possible to avoid the mistakes that have obviously been made in the US on this issue with the DMCA?

In all the recent discussion
about CSS and adapting web coding practices to adhere to the W3C standards, I haven’t seen much mention of the excellent software (and site, with mucho info) made by Westciv Webware. I don’t code enough to keep everything in my brain through sheer practice, and their site has been my saviour more than once.
A US district judge
has made an interesting, and (I think, though not being educated in the law) correct decision regarding e-books and author copyrights. Authors whose contracts do no specifically cover electronic versions are free to sell them to whomever they wish.
