One might call the redesign an example of web-age chinoiserie. Or not.
I’m in a nice neighbourhood
now. My Webloggers ring neighbour to the right is none other than Mr. Joe Utsler, aka Crazy Uncle Joe and the venerable host of Metacubed, the meta weblog for meta webloggers. To the right is a very green Prattle, from Toronto as near as I can tell.

It seems that pirates have ripped off a couple more domains. As I wrote on the weekend I bet Network Solutions is part of the problem (if not the problem), not part of the solution.
If there’s any doubt that this is malicious tampering, and not some faux-principled battle for the soul of the net – last week’s victims, web.net are not a soulless corporation but a highly principled non-profit resource center for other non-profits and charities. There have been a rash of
new designs lately on weblogs I read. The absolute latest is Swallowing Tacks. It’s a very hep look now. Very tiki lounge, very late 50s but not in that rocknroll way, in the “mass media trying to be hip like those pesky beats” way. Which is a compliment, BTW.
