of an apparent MT-Blacklist bug: Don’t delete weblogs!
Edward Felten
has recounted a bad experience with SpamCop in his new weblog, Freedom To Tinker. Interesting story about the excesses among the erstwhile “good guys” in the fight against spam. [via boingboing]
Spam begone
! I know it won’t work perfectly, but nonetheless I’ve experimented with a couple of the techniques noted by Jeffrey Zeldman today and settled on one method that I prefer. I’ve implemented it here (while also collecting some other scripts that I had kicking around this site), so hopefully that will help a bit. You must have javascript turned on in order to see/use my mailto ref.
Glenn Fleishman
weighs in about spam. I think I’m going to start getting a lot more aggressive about my filtering. And I have to dump what used to be my primary address, but sadly is nothing but a spam-collector now. Hmmm. Maybe I should keep it.
On Sunday
Cam Barrett put up a great piece about spam and how to fight it. A must-read.
