: Pong, the movie preview at slavitch.com. Scroll down a bit.
Just in
: the Canadian government has announced $500M of new arts funding over the next three years, as previewed in this National Post story from this morning. Gotta get me some of that.
When I was in grad school
I read a lot of Jean Baudrillard, and he remains one of the few theorists I still read from time to time – my tolerance for academic work has gone way down. Feed has published a review of The Vital Illusion, the latest of his works translated into English. I read a bit of it in French last year, but it’ll be fun to read it in English as well – there are some pretty good translations of Baudrillard out there.
Mmmm
: montrealfood.com. The reviews are a little spotty – they trash some places I really think are excellent.
Work work work
. Got another document out the door today. I’ve also been playing with Netscape 6 today, which isn’t nearly as bad as I was sure it would be following the Preview Releases – at least the one PR I tried. This final release version is only about as finished and complete as Netscape “public betas” were in the old days, mind you, and quite a bit less finished than some of those. But it’s not as objectionable as 4.7x had become to me. So that’s good.
