a new show to CBC Radio about blogs and such using podcasts (presumably) as the basis for the mix. For now, the show is known as “The Feed”.
Someone named TDavid has published
a long piece about podcasting and the Winer vs. Curry fracas.
Note that reading this is only indicated if one feels the need to self-flagellate or otherwise punish oneself. Look down to Carnell’s comment for the bottom line on the whole ridiculous thing.
Phillip Torrone (from Make)
writes about the ODEO Podcast service, which is coming soon. Looks like a much richer service than some early pundits supposed.
Cam Barrett isn’t very keen
about podcasting. I have to say I share his concerns. In the past week or so I’ve been looking into podcasting and I’ve listened to a bunch of podcasts, and I just don’t get it. I see it as a novelty – fun, but ultimately not as useful or interesting as blogging. Plus, the content is invisible to search engines, doesn’t allow for hyperlinks, and frankly I don’t get any heightened sense of “personality” or immediacy than I do from people’s written blog entries.
