Dave (passerby) and Meg both talk about information overload. Picking up the thread, I’ve found that taking time away from mass media and particularly the net is a great rejuvenator. It doesn’t have to be in the trees, although that would be great. But I have recently taken two weekends away from the net and it has made a huge difference.

Ed has to get a new job. For crying out loud – who ever heard of a net company without net access? Anyone in Montreal looking for something different should send me a resume. I literally have nothing bad to say about working here.

I just got an ICQ saying “The looney is between your little dogs”. Scary part is that I understood that.
Back in the office
I’ve been offline for a couple of days, but I’m back in action for the foreseeable future.
In the airport
this morning (far too early) I sat down across from the magazine rack in the little waiting area. Prominently displayed, with Air Canada stickers identifying their provenance, were several copies of Mother Jones magazine. In striking counterpoint to the other mags – Forbes and Business Week.
