Dan Gillmor has the story: Google Buys Pyra: Blogging Goes Big-Time. Pyra makes Blogger, if you didn’t know.
There has been a lot of hoo-ha
about Google and their perceived power lately, but “Google Gods” is a bit over the top for an article title, especially one that’s as ambivalent about its subject as that one. I’m still not sure what they mean.
LawMeme has the story
about a company called SearchKing, which is suing Google to restore their Page Rank, which they say was arbitrarily lowered. No evidence is provided in the documents SearchKing has provided, however, so it is all based on their bald assertion that something has been done arbitrarily by Google.
Check it out
: TouchGraph GoogleBrowser V1.00. The best such application I’ve seen – smooth and fast, and works very well. Reminds me a bit of the old Apple Hotsauce stuff which gave a fly-through webspace in an alternate interface.
Can someone please tell me
why, or if, I should care about the newly-beta-released Google Web APIs? They took a shot at it on MeFi, but fell short of the mark.
