on the relationship between links and infuence – Repeat after me: inbound links do not indicate either readership or influence. I think Technorati and the rest have to discriminate between contextual or editorial links and sidebar/linkbar links. Different animals altogether.
I haven’t totally scoped it out yet,
but as of right now, you have to sign in with TypeKey to leave a comment here. I was simply getting too much comment spam to leave it open. When the next version of MT-Blacklist is available I may revisit the decision, but for now, this is how it’s going to be. Any opinions on this?
Nevermind. I have to fix the freaking templates to work with TypeKey first, I suppose, and I don’t know when that might happen.
The Guardian Unlimited
has published another great article about blogs: The blog busters.
Technorati on CNN:
Dave Sifry has just announced that Technorati will be providing an assist to CNN during their coverage of the Democratic National convention. Sifry and others will be on-air using the tools to follow the emerging stories and such. Computer stuff always looks stunted and odd on the box, but I hope this works out well for them. The site will be at politics.technorati.com during the convention.
Oliver Willis,
a long-time favourite read of mine on US Politics, got a long-overdue makeover to his site: Oliver Willis | Like Kryptonite To Stupid.
