Blork and Martine are proposing a new group blog thingie… 12 Monkeys/12 singes. Kick off date is next Wednesday when you’re asked to list every job you’ve ever had.
Archives for 2004
Wired News has an update
on a significant change in procedures for obtaining financial records from banks and other financial institutions in the US: Bush Grabs New Power for FBI. Yet another hit for civil liberties for our neighbours to the South.
Another Macworld Expo SF
is starting today, and along with MWSF comes Steve Jobs’ Keynote. It starts in about 20 minutes and there has been much speculation about the announcements. Cheaper iPods? iBox? New Digital Hub software?
One of my Christmas gifts
was a subscription to Maisonneuve magazine, a relatively new magazine out of Montreal that seems very promising. Now I have learned that Utne has nominated Maisonneuve as one of the best new titles of 2003 in the recent edition of its Indie Press Awards. Note that although I have been loosely associated with the Utne organization for about 8 years now, I had nothing whatsoever to do with the nomination!
Belated New Year’s Wishes!
New Year’s Eve came and went with little fanfare in the Boyle/Seraiocco household, and now, though burdened by two colds (one a possible case of bronchitis), one dog in heat (which freaks the other one out), and (again) a second new non-smoker, the new Year 2004 really begins with the official Return to Work.
I can’t say that I have any really ambitious plans for 2004 at this point. I’m not one to make resolutions and I already work very hard on both official and unofficial work. Plus, having gotten married and bought a new house in 2003, it would be hard to top that with, well, anything. So what I really look forward to is simply this: continued health and success, for my wife, for myself, and above all for my friends and family. Have a great year!
