Six Apart grows.
There have been a lot of developments at Six Apart recently. Most notable are the hiring of Barak Berkowitz as CEO (chronicled very effectively by outgoing CEO Mena Trott in Mena’s Corner) and Andrew Anker. It is very encouraging to see a company do what it really needs to do in order to succeed. And communicating so eloquently about it.
NYTimes and Google
in Wired News today: Searching for The New York Times. “How can the mighty New York Times, which considers itself America’s paper of record, be the paper of record in cyberspace when its articles barely show up on Google?” Or any other search engine, for that matter.
Scamming
the scammers: turning the tables on Nigeria’s e-mail conmen, via BBC News.
This is a test
of my modified mikel.org design. Similar, but simpler, with lots more white space. Also, I think it has a better visual identity overall, particularly using the m-in-a-circle that I have used in different ways for 10 years now in personal websites.
