So I’m pretty much done with the redesign here, which you may notice also included several other changes. I have gotten rid of the popup windows for commenting, and in their place, each post is on its own full-chrome page with comments and trackbacks, if there are any, integrated on that page. I have also finally made it possible to browse by category and changed the weekly archives that I’ve always had to monthly archives. Unfortunately, old archives are now broken though I may fix them (using .mtaccess redirects) if I find the time. As well, this whole thing is now running on Movable Type 3.01D.

Looks sweet!

When reading the comments, the “posted by…” line is at an equal distance from it’s own text and the beginning of the following, when reading multiple comments it’s hard to know who wrote which without going back to the first or last.

Thanks Patrick. That’s an odd bug in the stylesheet and templating system that I thought I’d squashed, but now I remember that I change a config item and that caused it to re-appear.
For efficiency (not wanting another class) I re-used the blog footer class (at the end of each post) for the “Posted by” as well. Problem is, I use a span within the paragraph in the body of the blog, where I add any linefeeds myself when I post.
In the comments, where I have line conversions turned on for simplicity’s sake, it closes the paragraph before the span class and so it’s no longer contained in the same block as the paragraph, it’s acting as it’s own block level element even though it isn’t really one.
Thanks for the heads up!
