Simon Waldman posted scans of a House & Garden spread called At home with Hitler which is quite chilling in its banality. Arendt was clearly correct in that. Anyhow he’s been formally asked to take it down, so the link won’t be active indefinitely.
As everyone no doubt knows by now,
Johnny Cash died last night in Nashville. Just four months after his love, June Carter Cash passed away. May they be reunited in the sky.
Poor Oliver
had a scary bout with Volvulus, or canine bloat. Seems that everything’s going to be OK though (except for the smoked pig’s ear industry).
A Montreal classic
has died. Blork and the CBC are reporting that the Great Antonio is Dead. The Great Antonio was a famous old-school strongman who, in later years, I would often see near Mont-Royal and St-Denis, among other places in the city.
