: Accessibility Lockout for Olympics 2002 Site — Again?!. A good quick rundown of some problems with the official site for the Games this winter. Add to it that the site’s URLs are virtually useless. Accessibility in the case of this site is a problem even for fully able people with regular browsers using all the tools built in. It’s too bad, it’s a huge missed opportunity. Doing a site like that should be an opportunity for some really innovative work – but it was clearly squandered. I’d love to get my hands on a project like that and hire a dream team to develop the thing.

: Wallace and Gromit return online. “Oscar-winning animated duo Wallace and Gromit will return for the first time in six years in a series of short films available on the internet.”
From the SF Gate
comes an article called Please Lick This iMac / Yet another utterly annoying, nearly perfect gizmo gem from those shameless bastards at Apple by Mark Morford. Faux protestation done right.
In Canadian politics
, big news as Brian Tobin resigns. MJ Milloy has already posted a very good analysis of the news. All the pieces are there save this: Tobin has already done this once before. When he went back to the Rock last time, it was ostensibly the “give back to my home” jag, but really it was clear that it was all about going out in the wilderness to return a conquering hero.
The only question that remains: can it work a second time for Tobin? Most people only get one shot at the selfless exile pose. A second coming? Interesting, if cliche. A third? Very possibly a miscalculation.
I had a lot of success
today with Radio Userland. Fun stuff, particularly since I played around with Frontier 4 way back when, and Radio is clearly living up to the promise that was evident even then. The latest summary of my experiences is on my Radio test site.
