not to have to go to the office tomorrow. I feel as if a big weight has been removed from my shoulders. And it’s only four days since I left my former company, but I already have two solid leads and two other softer ones. All four would most likely be better than my last job, even though it was a pretty damned good one (for the most part).

Lyle Stewart
on Bouchard’s most lasting legacy: a quiet counterrevolution characterized by the fact that Bouchard steadfastly “clawed back the advances Quebecers had won since the Quiet Revolution of the 1960s.”
A strong candidate
for the worst movie of all time has to be The Norseman, which was just on the cheapo movie channel I get. Lee Majors stars – but even better is the supporting cast. Former Rams lineman Deacon Jones plays a prominent role, and Fred Biletnikoff (once a great cornerback for the Raiders) makes an appearance as well.
A friend of mine
is a filmmaker, and is actually working quite regularly editing, shooting, doing all sorts of stuff that doesn’t involve being some director’s driver. Unlike most, John didn’t go to film school and do that whole scene – he just started making movies. One of his early trilogy of shorts has made its way to iFilm, and it’s hilarious. It’s called Dutchboy Racer, directed by John Hepworth, John Ashmore, DoP. John and I did lunch to discuss a possible role, but he decided to go another direction, so this isn’t my cinematic debut. What I’m really waiting for though is John’s first feature, a sci-fi extravaganza whose development title is “HydroBeef”.
Four times I’ve
tried now, but I can never save a Stortrooper. The ‘save’ button doesn’t seem to work on my Mac.
