has written a nice piece on digital art prompted by the new exhibit at the Whitney: Bell Curves and Bitstreams.

I’d like to take a trip
to Vancouver or Calgary, if only to try out Roots Air. The new airline started scheduled flights this week. Also, check out the nice use of animation on the language switch page.
Mr. Jason Kottke climbed
into my brain today. I too share his fears (really, I’ve been thinking about both things in recent days), especially the one about Britney. And he’s also right about Barry Lyndon, which is a stunning movie. I’m guessing he viewed a better print than I saw (I’ve heard good prints of Kubrick movies are hard to find, that average rep houses don’t usually get them).
Trust me, by the way, that my updates here won’t be quite this uninteresting all the time. Please.
It’s funny that at dinner
the other night with Aaron, Caterina, and Stewart, we were talking a bit about TiVo. We don’t have it here, so I wanted a confirmation that it really was what I thought it was, and then discussed some other aspects of it, in a very general fashion. At one point, Aaron mentioned that it was obvious they were doing something with their data, even though we all knew (or suspected) that they denied it. The other three of us – we pretty much just assumed that he was right (at least that’s my recollection) and didn’t discuss it further. What’s to discuss?
Anyhow – to make a long story just a little longer – it seems that our assumptions/instincts were correct.
I’m with Aaron
I’m with Aaron. What’s with the brown?
