this recent entry at Aaron’s A boy in his basement weblog is delicious.

A little weblog linking
action today. Or, as the philosopher said, “inter-blog linky love”. My virtual neighbours seem to be rotating among a very limited group: this week it’s Prattle to the left of me, Utsler to my right. Which is great, both lovely sites for sure.
In other news, Swallowing Tacks again sports a new look, definitely making the argument that Elise is the most active re-designer of her personal site around. I always like what she does, though, so that’s not a complaint in the least.
Vanessa’s Eleven Seconds seems to be undergoing some radical re-branding.
Happy Independence day
Happy Independence day to all my American friends!
I was barely
prepared for just how great the Patti Smith show was going to be. I mean, I know she’s an important historical figure, and still very vital and all that. But I was amazed at how legitimate a punk she still is (very, most should take lessons), and how un-poseurish her art-rock-chick thing is. There’s nothing nostalgic about a Patti Smith show – it’s happening right now. Note: only about three people in the world could open a rock show with an extended Ginsberg quote and not look completely foolish.
Yesterday was Canada
Day – not a huge event here in Montreal. Today is the championship game of Euro 2000 between France and Italy, a much bigger event in this town. For some reason, that makes sense to me. For my part, I just hope Italy doesn’t succeed in making it as boring a game as they’d like.
