Starling is sounding great, by the way. The crowd really liked them and I bought their CD “Sustainer” and it sounds really great. I’ve known Ian, the main writer and lead singer, on and off for about 10 years – and it’s really cool to see him moving forward so solidly with his band.

Back from New York
now and I had a great time. Ate well, had fun taking my Mom to the Bowery Ballroom to see Starling and Buffalo Tom, and managed to see many friends along the way!
In case that list wasn’t clear
I’m heading to New York for the weekend. Back Monday, then off to Philadelphia overnight on a business trip Tuesday.
To do:
- get some sleep
- wake up
- send emails to friends in New York; try to arrange meeting times/locations
- eat breakfast with ex-roommate who showed up on my doorstep tonight
- write down NYC friends’ phone numbers
- go to airport on time
- meet mother at airport
- send a Jezebel postcard to a friend
- go to Bowery Ballroom to see Ian’s band play
Schizophrenic:
Matt posted a link to Michael Moore’s latest letter in Metafilter today. He asked “is this fair?”
Nope. It’s not fair at all (as I said over there).
