Search engines suck. They have an impossible task, but they still don’t do it well, and are getting worse, not better. But Google’s buttons are just cool.

Rats to Cats is still one of the great websites – whatta we call them now, microsites? Yeah – a really really small self-contained website is a microsite. I like the next/back icons – sleeping cats.

Via Rhizome: Lawsuit against Leonardo. “Transasia [France] is claiming over a million dollars in damages based on their claim that a search engine request using the word ‘Leonardo’ brings up not only their web sites but also those of the Leonardo arts organization.” I don’t know how I missed this when it first came up. It’s a big deal. Leonardo the journal has existed for 30 years.
